Vivo has quietly unveiled a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as the Vivo Y21s in the Indonesian market that comes with some upgraded specs over the Vivo Y21 smartphone that was launched in India last month.
The Vivo Y21s arrives with a 6.51” IPS LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hzn refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels selfie camera housed within it’s dewdrop-notch upfront.
Around the back of the phone, it retains the familiar-looking, square-shape camera island which is home to a total of three cameras including a 50 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y21s is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 chipset which is paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. Other than that, the Vivo Y21s also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, and is shipped with FuntouchOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y21s is available in both Pearl White and Midnight Blue color options, and is priced at 2,799,000 Rupiah (US$197) for it’s 4GB+128GB model in the Indonesian market.
