Samsung has unveiled a new entry-level tablet known as the Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 in the European markets where it carries an attractive launch price of just €229 (US$258) – making it one of the most affordable tablet in the market.
It builds around a 10.5” TFT display which offers a modest 1,920 x 1,200 pixels screen resolution as well as 60Hz refresh rate. Like most other tablets within it’s segment, it does comes with some notable bezels around the display even though it still managed to pull off a decent 80% screen-to-body ratio.
On the imaging front, it comes with an 8 megapixels main camera on the rear side as well as a 5 megapixels shooter on the front side to help with selfie and video calls. Although there isn’t any biometric authentication on the Galaxy Tab A8, but it’s front-facing camera can be used for face unlock.
At the helm, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is powered by an octa-core Unisoc Tiger T618 chipset which is paired with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.
Other than that, it’s also equipped with a respectable 7,040mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support. Software-wise, you can expect the tablet to be shipped with Android 11 out of the box. Those who’re interested can pick the slate in a trio of color options including gray, silver, and pink gold.
