Reliable tipster Max Jambor recently claimed that the OnePlus 10 Pro will debut in January in China. Today, the OnePlus founder Pete Lau took to Weibo to confirm that the OnePlus 10 Pro will indeed go official in January.
Lau’s Weibo post only confirms the launch timeframe of the OnePlus 10 Pro. It does not mention any information on the specs of the device. Also, it is unclear whether the vanilla OnePlus 10 will be announced alongside the Pro model.
OnePlus 10 Pro Specifications (Rumored)
The OnePlus 10 Pro leaks have revealed that it will be sporting a 6.7-inch curved edge AMOLED display with a punch-hole design. It is expected to carry support for a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
For selfies, the OnePlus 10 Pro may feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera setup of the phone may include a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto snapper with 3x optical zoom.
It goes without saying that the OnePlus 10 Pro will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform. The device is expected to ship with the ColorOS 12 based Android 12 in China. The global edition of the phone will also feature the Android 12, but it will be overlaid with a new UI, which will offer a unified experience of OxygenOS and ColorOS.
The OnePlus 10 Pro may draw power from a 5,000mAh battery. It is expected to carry support for 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The device is expected to arrive with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The OnePlus 10 Pro is likely to hit the global markets by March or April.
