Tecno Mobile has announced a new mid-range model known as the Tecno Pova 5G which appears to be the highest-end model within the Pova series smartphones. This model has been officially announced in the Nigerian market, even though it’s official pricing and availability has yet to be announced.
Right off the bat, the Tecno POVA 5G features a large 6.9” IPS LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution along with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. On top of that, it also comes with a 16 megapixels front-facing camera to help with selfie and video calls.
On the rear side of the phone, the Tecno POVA 5G sports a rectangular camera island which is home to a triple-camera setup comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera, as well as a pair of auxiliary cameras that include a 2 megapixels depth sensor and a AI lens.
Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the Tecno POVA 5G is backed by a massive 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Other than that, it also comes along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, and is shipped with HiOS based on Android 11 out of the box.
