Huawei P50 Pro debuts in Singapore with an attractive launch price

After making it’s official debut in the Chinese market last year, the hotly anticipated Huawei P50 Pro has finally been announced in the local market today during a high profile media event. In fact, Singapore is the second country outside of China to launch the P50 Pro smartphone which is definitely a great news for local Huawei fans who had missed out on several notable models such as the Huawei Nova 9.

For the benefit of those who may have missed out, the Huawei P50 Pro is a flagship model featuring a 6.6” curved OLED display that offers a 1,225 x 2,700 pixels screen resolution topped with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. More notably, the phone is also IP68-rated for water and dust resistance.

On it’s rear-side, the Huawei P50 Pro is equipped with a revolutionary quad-camera system lead by a 50 megapixels (f/1.8 aperture) main camera with OIS stabilization and a 40 megapixels (f/1.6 aperture) B/W lens.

As for the other two cameras, they include a 13 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide lens as well as an impressive 64 megapixels (f/3.5 aperture) periscope telephoto lens which is capable of offering up to 3.5x optical zoom, or up to 20x hybrid zoom and 100x digital zoom.

According to Huawei, it’s camera system is aided by a new XD Fusion Pro graphics engine which helps to optimize image clarity and improves overall dynamic range. Other than that, it also features a 13 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) front-facing camera for selfie and video-calling purposes.

Under the hood, the Huawei P50 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 888 chipset alongside 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. To keep it’s lights on, the phone is supplied with a respectable 4,360mAh battery which brings support for 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Software-wise, it’s covered by Huawei’s proprietary EMUI 12 (not HarmonyOS).

In Singapore, the Huawei P50 Pro is available in two classy colors such as Cocoa Gold and Cocoa Black. Those who’re interested can purchase the Huawei P50 Pro at just S$1,548 from January 22nd through Huawei Authorised Stores, major telecommunication operators M1, Singtel, Starhub, authorised retailers* and Huawei official online stores in Lazada and Shopee.

Customers who purchase the Huawei P50 Pro will be entitled to a complimentary HUAWEI WATCH 3 Active Edition worth $448, while stocks last. Additionally, those who purchase the Huawei P50 Pro will also be entitled to a 2-year warranty and enjoy extra care for their device with a dedicated after sales service.
