Recently, we’d gotten our first look at the upcoming Motorola Edge 30 Pro smartphone which is due to launch in the coming months. However, apart from the Edge 30 Pro, the Lenovo-owned company is also said to be prepping another model codenamed ”Frontier 22” according to a new report from reliable German outlet Winfuture.de.
Just like the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, the ”Frontier 22” smartphone is expected to be a flagship model that’s targeted towards the high-end segment of the market. Interestingly, this device will reportedly be powered by an unannounced Snapdragon SM8475 chipset which was widely speculated to be an enhanced version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. This is in fact the same processor which was rumored to power the forthcoming Lenovo Halo gaming smartphone.
On the imaging front, the Motorola ”Frontier 22” smartphone is also among the pioneer batch of smartphone to adopt an ultra high-res 200MP main camera that will be paired with a 50MP ultra-wide and a 12MP telephoto unit. Similarly, the device is also said to be equipped with the same 60MP selfie camera that was found in the recently announced Motorola Edge X30.
Other than that, the dual-curve front display is also said to be a 6.67” OLED panel that offers a FHD+ screen resolution topped with a super smooth 144Hz refresh rate along with support for DCI-P3 color gamut space and HDR10+ for an immersive viewing experience.
To keep the phone running through the day, it will reportedly be backed by a respectable 4,500mAh battery which carries support for a blazingly-fast 125W wired and 50W wireless charging speed. If nothing goes wrong, the Motorola ”Frontier 22” smartphone could make it’s official debut in July later this year.
