Besides launching the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro devices, iQOO has also announced a more affordable model known as the iQOO 9 SE which carries an attractive starting price of just NR33,999 (US$456). Despite being launched under the iQOO 9 series branding, this device shares largely identical specs as the iQOO Neo 5S which was launched last year.
For starter, the iQOO 9 SE features a 6.62” centered hole-punch AMOLED display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, as well as an impressive 300Hz touch sampling rate. Other than that, it also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner as well as a 16 megapixels selfie camera.
On the rear side, the phone has a rectangular camera bump which houses a versatile triple-camera system lead by a 48 megapixels main camera. This will be joined by a 13 megapixels ultra-wide unit and a 2 megapixels monochrome unit.
At the helm, the iQOO 9 SE is powered by a slightly older Snapdragon 888 chipset along with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department. Likewise, it’s also equipped with a 4,500mAh (dual-cell) battery with 66W fast-charging support.
On the software side of things, the phone will be shipped with the latest FuntouchOS 12 based on Android 12 OS right off the box. Pricing for the iQOO 9 SE kicks off at INR33,999 (US$456) for it’s 8GB+128GB, and goes up to INR37,999 (US$510) for it’s 12GB+256GB model.
