In October 2021, Google announced the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 smartphones. Recent reports have claimed that the company is gearing up to launch the Pixel 6A mid-range handset. It is speculated that Google’s in-house chip named Tensor, which is powered by the Pixel 6 duo, will be powering the Pixel 6a. A Geekbench listing of the upcoming Pixel 6a has surfaced today. The listing reveals that it will indeed feature the Tensor SoC.

The Geekbench 5 listing of the Pixel 6a reveals that it is powered by an octa-core chipset that includes two high-performance CPU cores running at 2.80GHz, two CPU cores clocking at 2.25GHz, and four efficiency CPU cores ticking at 1.80GHz. The source code of the listing shows that it is equipped with a Mali-G76 GPU. The CPU information is identical to the Tensor chip

The Geekbench listing further reveals that it has 6 GB of RAM and the Android 12 OS. On the single-core test of the Geekbench 5, it scored 1050 points, and it recorded a score of 2833 in the multi-core test

The Google Pixel 6a CAD renders that surfaced in November 2021 revealed that it would be equipped with a punch-hole display on the front. Its rear shell will have a dual-tone design with a horizontal strip housing an LED and a dual-camera system

The device is expected to feature a 6.2-inch OLED FHD+ display. For selfies, it may sport an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 front-facing camera. Its back panel is expected to feature a 12.2-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary camera and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 ultrawide snapper. The other details of the smartphone are under wraps.
