Besides launching the Realme 9 SE, Realme has also announced another mid-range model known as the Realme 9 5G that sits slightly below the former in terms of pecking order.
The Realme 9 5G comes with a modest 6.5” LCD display which features a FHD+ screen resolution along with 90Hz refresh rate as well as a peak brightness of 600 nits. To help with selfie and video call, it also has a 16 megapixels front-facing camera housed within a pinhole cutout on the upper-left corner of the screen.
At the back, the phone sports a triple-cam setup arranged in a square-shaped fashion. These cameras include a 48 megapixels main camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information. This is pretty much the same cameras that were also found on the Realme 9 SE.
Under the hood, the Realme 9 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset which will be paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.
Moving on, the device is also equipped with a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Software-wise, it’ll be shipped with Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 OS right off the box.
The Realme 9 5G will be available in two different colorways such as Starry Glow and Azure Glow. It’ll be priced at INR14,999 (US$200) and INR17,999 (US$230) respectively for it’s 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB variants.
