Chinese electronics giant Infinix has announced a new entry-level smartphone known as the Infinix Hot 12i in the Nigerian market where the phone carries an affordable starting price of 61,800 Naira ($149).
Right off the bat, the Infinix Hot 12i features a 6.6” IPS LCD display which offers a modest HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
At the back, the phone comes with a triple-cam setup lead by a 13 megapixels main camera alongside a pair of unspecified auxiliary cameras. Likewise, there’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
Under the hood, the new Infinix Hot 12i is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset which will be paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is equipped with a respectable 5,000mAh battery which apparently doesn’t supports any form of fast-charging solution. Software-wise, it’ll be covered with a slightly older XOS 7.6 based on Andorid 11 OS right off the box.
For those who’re interested, the Infinix Hot 12i is available in four different color options such as Racing Black, Horizon Blue, Haze Green and Champagne Gold. It’ll be priced at 61,800 Naira ($149) and 67,000 Naira ($161) respectively for it’s 2GB+64GB and 3GB+64GB variants.
