OPPO is reportedly working on the Reno8 series of smartphones. The Reno8 and Reno8 Pro are expected to launch this month in China and arrive in other markets by June. The lineup is also expected to include another model called the Reno8 Lite. Reliable tipster Snoopy Tech has shared the leaked renders of the smartphone.
OPPO Reno8 Lite renders
The leaked renders show that the Reno8 Lite will be available in black and gradient colour. The display of the device features a punch-hole at the upper-left corner. Its rear shell has a triple camera unit along with an LED flash unit.
At present, there is no information available on the specifications of the Reno8 Lite. In terms of appearance, it looks similar to the Reno7 Lite 5G, which has been rebranded with names like the Reno7 Z 5G, OPPO F21 Pro 5G, and OnePlus N20 5G in different markets. Possibly, the Reno8 Lite will arrive with different specs as compared to the Reno7 Lite 5G.
OPPO Reno8 Specifications (Rumored)
Rumors are rife that the OPPO Reno8 could be debuting as the world’s first Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. To those who are unaware, Qualcomm is yet to announce the next-generation 7-series chip. It is speculated to feature a 6.5-inch OLED punch-hole display with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. It is likely to support for an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The device’s rear camera setup may feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera. It could be coupled with an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel depth/macro camera. The device will run on the Android 12 OS and ColorOS UI. It will pack a 4,500mAh battery, which may carry support for 80W fast charging.
