Chinese electronics giant Tecno has announced a new entry-level smartphone known as the Tecno POVA 3 in the Indian market that will be succeeding last year’s POVA 2 smartphone which has garnered plenty of interest among Asian markets.
The new Tecno POVA 3 builds around a 6.9″ IPS LCD display offering a FHD+ screen resolution along with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Likewise, there’s also an 8 megapixels front-facing camera for selfie and video calling purposes. Taking things further, the phone also comes with a dual speakers system and Z-axis linear motor for a more immersive entertainment experience.
Over at the back, the device sports a futuristic design which is available in three different colors such as Electric Blue, Tech Silver and Eco Black. It also features a triple-camera array around the upper-left corner, housing a 50 megapixels main camera along with a pair of 2 megapixels auxiliary cameras presumably for macro and depth information.
Under the hood, the Tecno POVA 3 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 chipset which will be coupled with an option between 4GB/ 6GB RAM as well as 64GB/ 128GB storage capacity. Nonetheless, it’s storage capacity can still be expanded via a microSD card if it happens to run out.
Needless to say, one of the key highlight of the new Tecno POVA 3 lies in it’s massive 7,000mAh battery capacity which can be recharged quickly thanks to it’s 33W fast-charging support. The phone will be shipped with a custom HiOS based on Android 11 OS out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Tecno POVA 3 is priced starting at INR14,999 ($184) for the 4GB+64GB base model and goes up to INR15,999 ($190) for the top-of-the-line model featuring 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
