After launching the budget-friendly POCO C40 smartphone in the global market last week, POCO is now back with a pair of attractive mid-range models dubbed as the POCO X4 GT and POCO F4 5G.
As with any other POCO smartphones bearing the ”GT” moniker, the new POCO X4 GT shapes up to be a capable mobile gaming companion which doesn’t burns a hole in the pocket. Without further ado, let’s check out what this device has in store for us!
Display
The new POCO X4 GT builds around a 6.6” IPS LCD display offering a FHD+ screen resolution along with an ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate which put the phone on far with other gaming-centric smartphones in this aspect. On top of that, the phone also features a responsive 270Hz touch sampling rate which gives it’s users an additional edge over other players in first-person game titles.
To sweeten up the deal, the display also carries support for 10-bit color depth and boast an impressive peak brightness of up to 650 nits to ensure the screen remains visible in all lighting conditions. Last but not the least, there’s also an additional layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which sits in front of the display for extra durability.
Cameras
Over on the rear side, the POCO X4 GT features a rectangular-shaped camera module which houses a triple-cam system lead by a 64 megapixels Samsung ISOCELL GW1 main camera with a relatively large 1.72” sensor size and a relatively bright f/1.9 aperture.
Accompanying the main camera will be an 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera for landscape photography as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up shots. As for selfies and video calls, the phone also has a 20 megapixels front-facing camera tucked into a centered punch-hole cutout.
Performance & Battery
Under the hood, the POCO X4 GT IS powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset which will be paired with up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage in the memory department. Keeping it’s lights on is a respectable 5,0800mAh battery that carries support for 67W fast-charging which is capable of achieving a 0 to 100% sprint in merely 46 minutes.
Pricing & Availability
In Singapore, the POCO X4 GT is launched in a trio of colors including Silver, Black, Blue. It’ll be available for purchase via Shopee where the phone is priced at S$479 and S$509 respectively for it’s 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants.
