When the Huawei P50 Pocket was unveiled last year, the phone was offered in three different colorways such as Obsidian Black, Crystal White and Premium Gold. To revitalize it’s sale in the Chinese market, the company will be launching a new Grey Leather variant on July 4th next month.
Although there wouldn’t be any changes to it’s underlying specs, but the new leather-like exterior lends a premium touch to the overall design and also offers a more exquisite handling experience which sets the phone apart from other mainstream models.
As a quick recap, the Huawei P50 Pocket features a 6.9” inner display with a 21:9 tall aspect ratio that offers a user-friendly smartphone experience. This is a high-end display that offers a sharp 2790 x 1188 pixels, HDR10 support, as well as a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Although the Huawei P50 Pocket isn’t exactly a photography-centric smartphone, but it still comes with an impressive camera system lead by a 40 megapixels main camera, 13 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 32 megapixels ultra spectrum camera which is said to improve color rendering.
Just like the Huawei P50 Pro (Global), the P50 Pocket is also powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 888 chipset which will be aided by up to 12GB RAM and 512GB built-in storage in the memory side of things.
To keep it’s lights on, the device is backed by a respectable 4,000mAh battery with 40W wired charging support which is pretty fast for a foldable phone. Software-wise, it’ll be shipped with the company’s in-house EMUI 12 right off the box.
