Xiaomi had already confirmed that the company will be launching the much anticipated Xiaomi 12S series smartphone on July 4th next week. Ahead of it’s launch, much details pertaining to the upcoming smartphone series had already been revealed via both official and non-official channels.
The latest piece of info came directly from popular benchmarking platform Geekbench which confirmed that the middle child Xiaomi 12S Pro will be fueled by the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset along with a hefty 12GB RAM under the hood.
Interestingly, past report had also suggested that the 12S Pro could be offered in another variant that’s supposedly powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series chipset with a slightly slower 67W charging speed as opposed to the 120W charging speed on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 model.
Other specifications however, are expected to be shared between the two devices. As such, both variants are expected to arrive with an ultra-sharp QHD+ OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, Leica-branded 50MP triple-cameras as well as a 32MP front-facing camera.
Based on what we’d learned so far, Xiaomi is expected to announce at least three different models from the upcoming Xiaomi 12S series including the vanilla Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro, as well as the top-of-the-line Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
