A recent leak revealed that Vivo is planning to launch a Dimensity 810 powered Vivo Y77 5G in some markets like Malaysia. However, it appears that the Chinese manufacturer is planning to announce a new smartphone with the same moniker, but with a different chipset in China. As can be seen below, the upcoming Vivo Y77 5G smartphone for China will be equipped with the all-new 7nm Dimensity 930 chipset.
Last month, MediaTek announced three new chipsets, such as the Dimensity 1050, the Dimensity 930, and the Helio G99. Smartphone OEMs are yet to launch smartphones powered by these chipsets. The poster suggests that the Vivo Y77 5G headed to China could be the world’s first phone powered by the Dimensity 930 SoC.
The poster further reveals that the Vivo Y77 5G will be equipped with a 120Hz display, a 5,000mAh battery, 12 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of built-in storage. It will be Vivo’s first Y-series phone to arrive with support for 80W fast charging. As can be seen, the device will come in blue and pink colors. Unfortunately, there is no word on the launch date of the Y77 5G. In all likelihood, it may debut later this month in the home market.
Recently, a Vivo phone with model number V2219A was approved by Chinese certification platforms such as TENAA and 3C. This device will be released soon in China with the Vivo Y77 5G moniker in China.
The above poster confirms most of the important specs of the Vivo Y77 5G. The TENAA listing of the device has already revealed its other specs. It will be arriving with a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ display, an 8-mgeapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system.
