Several reports have revealed that Realme is working on the Realme Watch 3. Today, the Chinese manufacturer confirmed its launch date for the Indian market. Here is all that is known about Realme’s next smartwatch.
The Realme Watch 3 will be announced on July 18 in India. As the moniker suggests, it will succeed the Watch 2 smartwatch launched in July last year. The Watch 2 was accompanied by the Watch 2 Pro in the country. At present, there is no word on the existence of the Watch 3 Pro.
The Realme Watch 3’s microsite is available on Realme India’s website and the Flipkart retailer site. The company has also released a live shot of a new Realme smartwatch. In all likelihood, the device shown above could be the Realme Watch 3.
The smartwatch has a square-shaped display with curved edges. It seems to be equipped with a metallic case. The right side of the device features a physical button. In addition, it seems to be equipped with a silicone strap. Realme has not confirmed information on the specifications of the Watch 3.
However, according to the official teaser on the landing page, its display will be 20 percent larger than its predecessor. To recall, the Watch 2 features a 1.4-inch screen.
The device has bagged approval from various certification platforms, such as the Bluetooth SIG, IMDA, SIRIM, BIS, and the FCC, in recent weeks. Based on these certifications, we know that it will have a 340mAh battery and support for Bluetooth 5.3.
At launch in India, the Realme Watch 2 was priced at Rs 3,499 ($44). The Watch 3 is likely to carry a similar price tag.
