The Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will debut later this month in China. It will probably be marketed as the Redmi K50 Ultra once it goes official. A couple of leaks have come out that show what its most important features are.
According to a Chinese tipster, Panda is Bald, the Redmi k50 Extreme Edition will have support for a screen resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. Previous leaks have claimed that the device will be equipped with a 200-megapixel main camera. However, the tipster has revealed that it will have a 108-megapixel camera.
The leak reveals that the device will be equipped with a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM6 main camera. It will be coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth / macro camera.
Reports have revealed that a Xiaomi device with a 22081212C model number that has surfaced in the databases of TENAA, 3C, and CMIIT certification sites is the upcoming Redmi K50 Extreme Edition. The handset was recently spotted at AnTuTu and now it has appeared in the database of the Geekbench benchmarking site.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset will be present under the hood of the device. The TENAA listing of the device has revealed that it will arrive in two options: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The device is likely to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display.
While all the K50 series phones have a side-facing fingerprint scanner, the K50 Extreme is tipped to feature an under-display fingerprint scanner. It is expected to house a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
