In December 2021, iQOO announced the iQOO Neo 6 and Neo SE smartphones in China. A recent leak by tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that iQOO may unveil the iQOO Neo 7 in October this year. Today, the Chinese tipster took to Weibo to share the key specifications of the Neo 7.
The tipster revealed that the iQOO Neo 7 will be equipped with a new flat AMOLED panel that will offer an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, an eye-protection mode for gaming, and an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Neo 6 featured a 6.62-inch AMOLED E4 screen. A recent leak by another tipster, Panda is Bald, revealed that the Neo 7 will come equipped with an AMOLED E5 display. It is said to feature a 6.78-inch display, which is available on the iQOO 10 5G (China) / iQOO 9T 5G (India).
The Neo 6 came equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The Neo 7, too, will be a flagship device, which will feature the Dimensity 9000+, which is the most powerful MediaTek chip.
The Neo 6 featured an OIS-assisted 64-megapixel triple camera unit. The successor model will have a Sony IMX766V 50-megapixel main camera, which is likely to carry support for OIS.
The Neo 6 packed a 4,700mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The tipster revealed that the Neo 7 will arrive with support for 120W fast charging. It is said to retain the same battery. The Neo 7 is also expected to offer other features like NFC, IR blaster, and a linear motor.
