Rumors that surfaced in Q2 2022 claimed that OPPO is working on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powered smartphone. However, a recent leak by Digital Chat Station revealed that the company may have dropped the plans to launch it.
It appears that the Find X6 series will be the next flagship series from the brand. The lineup, which is likely to include the Find X6 and the Find X6 Pro, is expected to launch in Q1 2023. Well ahead of the launch, the Chinese tipster has reportedly shared the key details on the camera specs of what appears to be of the Find X6 Pro.
According to the tipster, the device will be equipped with three 50-megapixel cameras on the back. The main snapper will be a 1-inch camera sensor, which could be the Sony IMX989 sensor available on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. It will be joined by a new high-pixel telephoto camera, claimed the tipster. However, he did not mention anything about the third snapper. Chinese publication CNMO reported that he could be talking about the OPPO Find X6 Pro.
The company seems to have a busy schedule ahead. It is reportedly working on the OPPO Find N foldable phone’s successor. It is also said to be working on its first clamshell device. These devices are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which may launch in November this year.
The Find X6 series is also said to be equipped with the SD8G2 chip. The X6 Pro is rumored to arrive with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a curved-edge design, which may carry support for a 2K+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The X6 Pro could be equipped with the MariSilicon X chip for a better photography experience. The rumor mill is yet to leak the other details of the phone.
