In November, Qualcomm will announce the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile chipset. Rumors are rife that the Xiaomi 13 series will be unveiled in the same month. Popular tipster Digital Chat Station has shared key details about the cameras of the Xiaomi 13 lineup
The Xiaomi 13 series may include two models, the Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro. There are no leaks stating whether there will be a model called the Xiaomi 13X, which will replace last year’s Xiaomi 12X. Tipster DCS has been sharing key information about the Xiaomi 13 series for the past few days. He has now revealed that the lineup will offer multiple 50-megapixel cameras.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro features a 50-megapixel main camera, which is coupled with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. The new leak states that the Xiaomi 13 series will also feature three 50-megapixel rear-facing cameras. It appears that the 13 Pro will have new main and telephoto cameras. It will probably offer Leica’s customizations.
Coming to the vanilla model, the Xiaomi 13, may come equipped with 50-megapixel and 50-megapixel dual rear cameras on the back. The Xiaomi 12X and 12 Pro offered the same specs, but they mainly differed in the chipset department. Hence, it appears that the Xiaomi 13X, if it exists, may also offer a 50-megapixel + 50-megapixel dual-camera setup.
The tipster also hinted at the Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s camera capabilities. He stated that it will have upgraded camera modules and sensors, but he did not reveal any camera specifications.
Other reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 13 will feature a 6.36-inch 120Hz AMOLED curved edge display, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro will have an E6 AMOLED screen with a curved edge design. Both Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered devices are expected to support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
