Official: Samsung Galaxy Wide6 debuts with MediaTek Dimensity 700 & 50MP triple cameras

Samsung has officially announced the new Galaxy Wide6 smartphone in the South Korean market which will be succeeding last year’s Galaxy Wide5. Hardware-wise, the Galaxy Wide6 shares almost identical specs as the recently announced Galaxy A04s, except for the difference in processor.

Starting with the front side of the phone, the new Galaxy Wide6 features a 6.5” PLS LCD display with HD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, as well as a 5 megapixels front-facing camera to help with selfies and video calls.

Speaking of photography, the Galaxy Wide6 features a total of three rear cameras which will be lead by a 50 megapixels main camera along with a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.

The phone will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset instead of the Exynos 850 chipset that was found on the Galaxy A04s. This will be paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.

To keep it’s lights on, the device is also backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 15W fast wired charging. Other than that, it also features a 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as One UI based on Android 12 OS out of the box.

Those who’re interested can pick the phone from three different colorways such as Black, White and Light Blue. Pricing-wise, the phone will set you back by 349,000 KRW ($256) in the South Korean market.
