Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro May Debut in November 2022

Xiaomi will be announcing a slew of new flagship phones in the coming months. It will probably announce the Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, and Xiaomi 12 Ultra in July. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is rumored to arrive later this year. Previous reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 13 series will debut by the end of this year. But a new post on Weibo by Digital Chat Station says that the Xiaomi 13 line may come out sooner than expected.

The tipster claimed that the Xiaomi 13 series was being tested with the upcoming Android 13 OS. He added that the progress is a month ahead compared to the Xiaomi 12 lineup. Hence, it appears that the Xiaomi 13 series may break cover as early as November this year.

The company is expected to announce at least two flagship models, namely the Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro. It is unclear whether the more affordable Xiaomi 13X will be unveiled with Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro. The vanilla and Pro models are said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Hence, there is a possibility that Qualcomm may announce the SD8G2 chip in November.

Reports have revealed that the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro are codenamed Nuwa and Fuxi, respectively. The former has a 2211133C model number, whereas the latter has a 2210132C model number. Like the Xiaomi 12, its successor could sport a compact form factor, whereas the Pro model could be a larger model with a Quad HD+ display. Both phones are likely to have OLED screens with curved edges and a triple camera unit on the back that is powered by Leica.

Xiaomi is yet to confirm the existence of the Xiaomi 13 series. Most likely, the company will start teasing the release of the Xiaomi 13 lineup by the beginning of November.
