Official: OPPO announces the new F21s Pro series smartphones

OPPO has officially unveiled the new F21s Pro series smartphones which will be first available in the Indian market. Despite bearing a fresh moniker, the OPPO F21s Pro series smartphones are essentially the same models as the April-announced F21 Pro and F21 Pro 5G except for some minor differences in the camera system as well as the introduction of new colorways.

Starting with the supposed higher-end model, the OPPO F21s Pro 5G features a 6.43” AMOLED display with a sharp FHD+ screen resolution along with 60Hz refresh rate. For selfies and video calls, there’s also a 16 megapixels front-facing camera housed within a punched hole cutout on the upper-left corner of the screen.

On the rear side, the OPPO F21s Pro 5G sports a rectangular camera island which houses a triple-camera array comprising of a 64 megapixels main camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.

Under the hood, the OPPO F21s Pro 5G will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 chipset which will be paired with 8GB RAM as well as 128GB built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.

To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a respectable 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support which is capable of delivering a full charge in around an hour. Software-wise, it’ll be covered by ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 OS out of the box,

Those who’re interested can get the phone from two different colorways such as Dawnlight Gold and Starlight Black. As far as pricing is concerned, the OPPO F21s Pro 5G will set you back by INR25,999 ($326) for the 8GB+128GB model.

Coming to the more affordable 4G model, it actually shares the same 6.43” FHD+ AMOLED display but with a slightly faster 90Hz refresh rate. Also, it’s front camera was upgraded to a 32 megapixels camera instead.

On the imaging front, the OPPO F21s Pro features an almost identical triple-cam unit as the 5G version. The only different is that the 2MP macro camera on the 5G model has been swapped with a 2MP microlens with 30x magnification on the OPPO F21 Pro.

Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset which also has 8 gigs worth of RAM and 128 gigs storage which can still be further expanded via a microSD card.

Just like the 5G model, the OPPO F21s Pro also packs a similar 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. Unsurprisingly, it’s also shipped with the same ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 OS out of the box.

For those who’re interested, the OPPO F21 Pro is also be offered in both Dawnlight Gold and Starlight Black colorways, and will be priced at a slightly more affordable launch price of INR22,999 ($288).
