Japanese electronics giant Sharp has announced a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as the AQUOS Sense7 which will be succeeding last year’s AQUOS Sense6. The new model comes with a refreshed design along with some other upgrades including a slightly faster processor.
Right off the bat, the new Sharp AQUOS Sense7 builds around a 6.1” IGZO OLED display featuring a FHD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera that sits inside a waterdrop-notch.
Around the back of the phone, it comes with a pair of circular modules which houses a dual-cam setup comprising of a 50.3 megapixels main camera as well as an 8 megapixels ultra-wide unit for landscape photography.
Under the hood, the Sharp AQUOS Sense7 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 chipset which is a slight upgrade over the SD680 chipset that was used in the preceding model. This will be paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which is further expandable via a microSD card.
Keeping it’s lights on will be a respectable 4,570mAh battery with fast-charging support. Other than that, the phone also ships with a 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as Android 12 OS out of the box.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from three different colorways such as Light Copper, Blue and Black. It will be priced at just 49,980 Yen ($338) in the Japanese market.
