Redmi Note 12 Series Tipped to Launch with Dimensity 1080 Chip

Redmi is reportedly working on the Redmi Note 12 series for the Chinese market. It appears that the lineup may feature the newly unveiled Dimensity 1080 chipset. In all likelihood, the entire Note 12 lineup will break cover this month in China.

MediaTek has just launched the Dimensity 1080 chipset. It has been unveiled as an upgraded version of the Dimensity 920 chipset from last year. According to a new Weibo post by Digital Chat Station, the Note 12 will come equipped with a new chip. He did not explicitly mention it, but since he has used the emoji of a bunny to hint at a Redmi phone with a D1080 chip, it seems that he is talking about the Note 12 lineup.

To recall, Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 11, Note 11 Pro, and Note 11 Pro+ in October 2021 in China. The Note 11 was powered by the Dimensity 810, while the Pro models featured the Dimensity 920 chipset. Hence, it is a calculated guess that the Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+ may feature the Dimensity 1080.

Several reports have claimed that the Redmi Note 12 series will debut in October in China this year. Recently, three Xiaomi phones with model numbers 22101316UC, 22101316UCP, and 22101316C were spotted in the database of the 3C certification site. These devices are likely to launch as the Note 12 Pro+, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12. The Pro+ model may support 210W charging.

Reports have claimed that the Note 12 lineup will feature 50-megapixel triple rear cameras. Unfortunately, the other details of Note 12 are still under wraps.
