China’s TENAA telecom authority has approved a new OPPO phone with the PHQ110 model number. The certification has only revealed images of the device. It appears that the listing will soon be updated with all the major specs of the phone. Speculations are rife that the PHQ110 will be called the OPPO A98 when it releases in the Chinese market.

The images of the OPPO A98 show that it will be the first-ever A-series OPPO phone to feature a curved edge display. For security, it seems to be equipped with an under-display fingerprint sensor.

The back panel of the OPPO A98 has dual camera rings, one housing the main camera, and the other featuring the secondary snapper and an LED flash. The device has yet to receive approval from the 3C authority.

The OPPO A98 rumors have claimed that its display will support an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 2160Hz PWM dimming. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G chipset, which could be paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.

The A98 is said to arrive with a 108-megapixel main camera. The device may house a 5,000mAh battery with 120W charging support. There is a possibility that the A98 may go official just in time for the upcoming Nov. 11 (Singles’ Day) shopping festival in China.
