Honor recently unveiled the Honor 90 and the Honor 90 Pro smartphones in China. Today, the global division of the brand released an official confirmation that the Honor 90 lineup will be announced on July 6 through an event at Pavillon Gabriel, Paris, for the global market.
The Honor 90 series for the Chinese market includes two models, such as the Honor 90 and Honor 90 Pro. Both models are powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition and Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipsets, respectively. It is speculated that Honor may not release the Pro version in the global market. Instead, it may only launch the Honor 90 and 90 Lite in markets outside of China. Here is a look at the expected specifications of both smartphones.
Honor 90 specifications
The Honor 90 has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1200 x 2664 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on MagicOS 7.1-based Android 13. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition, up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging.
The device is equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner. For selfies, it has a 50-megapixel front camera. The back panel of the device has an OIS-enabled 200-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
Honor 90 Lite specifications
The Honor 90 Lite heading to the global market could be a tweaked version of the Honor X50i 5G, which debuted earlier this year in China. The device is expected to offer key specifications, such as a 6.7-inch LCD panel that offers a 90Hz refresh rate. It may feature the Dimensity 6020 chipset, and a 4,500mAh battery with 35W charging. It will have an 8-megapixel front camera and a 100-megapixel rear camera. For security, it may feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
