Red Magic 8S Pro to feature 3.36GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 24GB RAM

Red Magic 8S Pro is scheduled to debut on July 5 in China. It will arrive as an updated version of the Red Magic 8 Pro, which was announced in March this year in China. Today, Nubia released a couple of posters to confirm the chipset and amount of RAM that will be available on the Red Magic 8S Pro.

The first poster confirms that the Red Magic 8S Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leading Version, which works at 3.36GHz. it is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that operates at 3.2GHz. The Galaxy S23 series is the only other smartphone that features the 3.36GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The other poster confirms that the Red Magic 8S Pro will be the first device to ship with 24 GB of RAM. Here, the brand is not talking about virtual RAM, buy physical RAM.

To recall, the Red Magic 8S Pro was recently seen with 1,704,113 score on AnTuTu benchmarks thanks to the inclusion of the new chip and the highest amount of RAM ever seen on a smartphone. As per some leakers from China, the Red Magic 8S Pro will come equipped with 1 TB of storage.

The Red Magic 8S Pro’s other specifications could be identical to the Reg Magic 8S Pro. Hence, it is expected to arrive with a 16-megapixel under-screen camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera system. The device may come equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display that produces a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
