POCO flagship featuring Dimensity 9200+ to launch soon

In the first half of this year, POCO unveiled the Poco F5 and the Poco F5 Pro flagship phones. Both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, respectively. At the recently held POCO Partners SEA Forum in Thailand, the company is planning to launch yet another flagship phone in the market.

POCO confirmed that it will be launching a phone featuring Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset. The company did not divulge any details on the final marketing name and other specifications.

Most of the POCO phones available on the market are rebranded versions of the Redmi phones available in China. The only phone in Xiaomi’s product catalogue featuring the Dimensity 9200+ chip is the Redmi K60 Ultra.

Reports have claimed Xiaomi will launch the Xiaomi 13T Pro on Sept. 1 in the global market. The leaked details of the phone that have emerged so far have revealed that it will be very similar to the Redmi K60 Ultra. The 13T Pro and K60 Ultra will mainly differ in the rear camera department. Hence, there is a possibility that the POCO’s D9200+ chip could be a rebranded version of the K60 Ultra.

The Redmi K60 Ultra features a 6.67-inch OLED FHD+ 144Hz display, a Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset, up to 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. It runs on Android 13 with a layer of MIUI 14 on top. The K60 Ultra has a 20-megapixel front camera, and its rear camera system includes a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
