Meizu returned to the flagship market this year with the launch of the Meizu 20 series of smartphones in March. The company has reportedly been working on the Meizu 21 series for the Chinese market. In a new leak, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed key details about the design of the Meizu 21 lineup.
According to the tipster, the engineering prototype of the Meizu 21 has a special design. It features the company’s signature ring LED flash. However, it does not have a regular flash; instead, the tipster claims that it features an RGB-lit ring LED flash.
He said that the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, but he did not say anything about other specifications. He also hinted that the series would debut earlier than before. To recall, the Meizu 20 series was announced on March 30 and made available for purchase in May. We speculate that the Meizu 21 series may debut in the first quarter of 2024, but it could be made available for purchase earlier than the Meizu 20 lineup.
DCS previously revealed that the Meizu 21 will feature a flat display with narrow bezels and a vertical triple camera unit on tithe back. Its rear camera setup may comprise a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support and a telephoto camera.
The Meizu 21 and 12 Pro are both expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. It is likely that its rear camera setup may include a periscope zoom camera. It is advisable to wait for further reports to know more about the Meizu 21 lineup.
