Vivo has officially unveiled a new entry-level smartphone known as the Vivo Y17s in the South-East Asian markets that comes with a stylish design as well as an affordable launch price. It sports a 6.56” IPS LCD display boasting a HD+ screen resolution along with a modest 60Hz refresh rate.
As far as imaging is concerned, the Y17s features a dual rear-facing cameras comprising of a 50 megapixels (f/1.8 aperture) main camera and a 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) depth sensing unit. This will be rounded out by an 8 megapixels front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y17s is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset which will be paired up with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card. Other than that, the phone is also equipped with a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support.
The phone is available in two different color options such as Glitter Purple and Forest Green. For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y17s is priced at just S$199 in Singapore for the 6GB+128GB model.
