Huawei is reportedly working on the Nova 12 series of smartphones. A new leak that has appeared on Weibo has revealed the key specifications of the Nova 12 and Nova 12 Pro.
According to a tipster, the Huawei Nova 12 will be the first phone to feature the Kirin 830 chipset. On the other hand, the Nova 12 Pro will feature the Kirin 9000s, which also power the likes of the Mate 60 series and the Mate X5.
The tipster has also shared an image that showcases the specs of the Nova 12 and 12 Pro. The leak reveals that both phones will have a curved-edge OLED panel that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Both devices will also come with 2nd-generation Kunlun glass protection. The Nova 12 series will support two-way satellite communication.
The Nova 12 will feature a 60-megapixel ultra-wide front camera, and its rear panel will have a 50-megapixel (main) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide + macro) + 8-megapixel (telephoto) triple camera unit. The Nova 12 will support 4K video recording. It will house a 4,800mAh battery with 88W fast charging.
On the other hand, the Nova 12 Pro will come with dual 60-megapixel ultra-wide cameras for selfies. On the back, it will have a 50-megapixel (main) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide + macro) + 50-megapixel (telephoto) triple camera unit. The device will support 4K video recording and a 10-level variable aperture. It will be backed by a 4,900mAh battery that supports 100W charging. The tipster claimed that the Nova 12 series will have a starting price of 2,999 Yuan ($410).
As per another leak, Huawei may launch the Huawei Nova 11 SE in October in China. Hence, it is likely that the Nova 12 series may debut later in October or November.
