Reports have claimed Nubia is working on the Red Magic 9 series of gaming-focused smartphones. Today, the brand released an official confirmation through its Weibo handle that the Red Magic 9 Pro will be announced at 7 pm on Nov. 23.
The series is also expected to include the standard Red Magic 9. However, it is unclear whether it will be announced alongside the Pro model on Nov. 23. The only thing that the brand has confirmed about the Pro variant is that it will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
In August, a Nubia device with model number NX769J was spotted with specifications, such as SD8G3 chip, 12 GB RAM, and Android1 4 on Geekbench. This device is speculated to launch as the Red Magic 9 Pro. With only 10 days remaining for the launch, the brand is expected to confirm some of its key features in the coming days.
The brand is said to have two Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices in the pipeline. The first one is said to be the Nubia Z60 Ultra, which may debut as early as next month (December) in China. The device, which is said to have the NX721J model number, is expected to feature an under-display camera and its rear camera setup is likely to feature a 1-inch, 35mm camera sensor.
The Nubia Z60 Fold, which is said to have the NX801J model number, is also said to feature the SD8G3 chip. It may launch in the first quarter of 2024.
