Earlier this month, iQOO announced the iQOO 12 and 12 Pro smartphones equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in China. Now, the brand is gearing up to launch the iQOO Neo 9 series of sub-flagship phones. The below poster, released by the brand, confirms that the Neo 9 series will be announced in December in China.
iQOO Neo 9 series design
Apart from revealing the launch timeframe, the poster confirms that it will have an attractive red-white dual-tone design. The back panel of the phone has a triple camera unit with an LED flash. On the front, it is fitted with a flat OLED panel integrated with a fingerprint sensor.
Reports have revealed that the iQOO Neo 9, which bears the V2338A model number, will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The Neo 9 Pro that has the V2339A model number will draw power from the Dimensity 9300 chipset.
According to reports, the iQOO Neo 9 lineup will arrive with a 6.78-inch OLED panel, which may support 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Both phones are expected to feature a 16-megapixel front camera, and the rear panel will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 primary camera with OIS support.
The Neo 9 series will have a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. It is expected to run on OriginOS 4-based Android 14. Its other details are yet to be revealed.
In related news, Vivo is also expected to announce the Vivo S18e, S18, and S18 Pro in December. The S18 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the S18 Pro will be equipped with the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipsets, respectively.
