At the end of November, iQOO confirmed that it would unveil the Neo 9 series of smartphones in December in China. Today, the brand released an official poster to reveal that the Neo 9 series will arrive with the OriginOS 4 onboard. However, it hasn’t revealed its launch date yet. However, a new leak, courtesy of tipster Panda is Bald, has revealed the expected launch date of the Neo 9 lineup.
The above image shared by the tipster seems to belong to a reservations listing for the upcoming Neo 9 series. It reveals that the company will announce the Neo 9 series on Dec. 27 in China. If this is true, an official announcement on the said date should be coming from the brand in the next few days.
iQOO Neo 9 series: What’s known so far
iQOO has already revealed that the iQOO Neo 9 series will sport a dual-tone design on the back. On the front, it is said to be equipped with a flat OLED panel. Rumors have it that the Neo 9 series will feature a dedicated Q1 chip like the iQOO 12 series for an enhanced viewing and gaming experience.
According to reports, the iQOO Neo 9 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, whereas the Pro variant will have the Dimensity 9300 chipset. Both phones are likely to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
The Neo 9 series is expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. For selfies, both phones may feature a 16-megapixel front camera. The back panel of the Pro variant will have an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel IMX920 primary camera. At present, there is no information about the primary camera of the Neo 9.
