OnePlus 13 tipped to feature 6.8-inch display, periscope camera

OnePlus is reportedly working on the OnePlus 13 flagship phone. Rumors are rife that it may debut as the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phone in October of this year. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared key information about the display, one of the cameras, and the industrial design of the phone.

DCS’ Weibo suggests that the alleged OnePlus 13 will feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. Additionally, the device is rumored to sport a 6.8-inch micro-curved OLED LTPO screen that offers ±2K resolution.

The mention of a periscope multi-focal image module in the leak suggests advanced camera capabilities, potentially offering enhanced zoom and focus options. A previous leak from the same tipster suggested that the device may come equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera. It remains to be seen whether it inherits the LYT-900 50-megapixel primary camera, which was seen on the OPPO Find X7 Ultra.

However, the tipster mentions a design adjustment for the ID (industrial design) of the device, implying that there might be changes in the aesthetic appearance of the OnePlus 13 compared to its predecessors. The specifics of these design changes are not provided in the statement.

In addition, the leaker also mentioned in the comments section of the Weibo post that the company is currently testing an in-screen fingerprint scanner for the device.

In related news, OnePlus is also said to be working on the Ace 3 Pro flagship phone for the Chinese market. The device is expected to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and is likely to debut in the coming weeks in China. It is unclear whether it will be released globally.
