Recently, it was reported that Xiaomi is launching a new device, Xiaomi 14 SE, in India. In the absence of concrete details, it was speculated that the phone would be a rebranded version of the Civi 4 Pro. However, a new finding by MIUI translator Kasper Skrzypek has revealed that Civi 4 Pro will indeed launch as Xiaomi 14 Civi in India.
The evidence for this has been found in the MIUI codebase, which confirms that the Xiaomi 14 Civi is the market name for the device with the codename ‘chenfeng’. Chengfeng is also the codename of Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, which is available exclusively in the Chinese market.
According to Kasper Skrzypek, Xiaomi 14 Civi will be a rebranded version of Civi 4 Pro for the Indian market. The phone won’t be available outside of India. He has also ruled out the possibility of Xiaomi 14 SE being a rebrand of Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro.
Xiaomi 14 Civi specifications (rumored)
Xiaomi 14 Civi will feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen will have a pill-shaped cutout for the dual selfie camera setup. It will be a 12-bit panel with 300 nits of peak brightness. The screen will have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, protecting it against accidental drops and scratches. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Thus, it will be positioned below the regular Xiaomi 14 Civi powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The two chipsets are based on similar technologies. However, the 8s Gen 3 has one less performance core and lower clock frequencies to adjust for the lower asking price. The chipset will be paired with 12/16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256/512GB UFS 4.0 internal storage. The phone will have a 4,700mAh battery and 67W wired charging support.
The triple camera setup on the back will consist of a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera. Over on the front, there will be a dual-selfie setup of a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a 32-megapixel ultrawide sensor.
