Nubia Z70 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, under-screen camera tipped to launch in November

Nubia is reportedly working on next-generation flagship phones that will feature the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which is set to debut in October this year. The gaming-focused Red Magic 10 series is expected to come equipped with the new chip. In addition, Nubia’s Z-series flagship will also have the new chip. Today, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to confirm the details about the upcoming Z-series Nubia flagship.

According to DCS, Nubia’s upcoming flagship device is set to be released in November this year. The new model will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, a 1.5K resolution OLED screen supplied by Chinese display maker BOE, and an under-display camera.

In the comments section of the post, the tipster revealed the name of the device as the Nubia Z70 Ultra. It will succeed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered Z60 Ultra, which debuted last year in December.

The leak does not say anything about the battery capacity of the Z70 Ultra. To recall, the previous generation featured a 6,000mAh battery. Therefore, the Z70 Ultra is anticipated to have a battery capacity exceeding 6000mAh, promising significant improvements in battery life compared to previous models.

Notably, Nubia is not the only brand launching flagship devices this year. Other Chinese smartphone brands, including Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, and Honor, are also planning to unveil their flagship models between October and November. This includes devices such as the Vivo X200 series, OPPO Find X8 series, Xiaomi 15 series, OnePlus 13, iQOO 13, Realme GT 7 Pro, Redmi K80 series, Honor Magic 7 series, and Huawei Mate 70 series. It appears that the Nubia Z70 Ultra will be joining this competitive flagship lineup.
