SHARP, the renowned leader in consumer technology, is proud to launch the AQUOS wish5s, a thoughtfully designed smartphone that prioritises everyday safety and usability. The latest model introduces an elegant metallic design, AI-powered imaging with Shadow Removal and 8way audio, while continuing to deliver durability, long battery life and built-in SOS security features that users have come to rely on.
Elevated Everyday Experience
The AQUOS wish5s features AI-powered imaging capabilities that enhance everyday photography. It automatically detects scenes and selects the optimal shooting mode, while AI Shadow Removal reduces unwanted shadows in close-up shots such as food and helps minimise reflections when capturing images through glass. The wish5s is equipped with an approximately 50.1-megapixel rear camera, powered by SHARP’s proprietary ProPix lite engine, enabling clear and vivid captures of night scenes and portraits.
In addition, the smartphone is equipped with 8way audio technology, delivering a more immersive listening experience when used with wireless or over-ear headphones. By simulating sound from multiple directions, users can enjoy a wider and more realistic soundstage across music, video and music, video content.
The AQUOS wish5s introduces a new, elegant metallic design, available in Navy and Copper. The smartphone retains the distinctive free curve design supervised by miyake design, which has been carried over from the previous model due to its strong reception. The softly rounded form fits comfortably in the hand and is now paired with a refined metallic texture, offering a clean and timeless aesthetic suitable for daily use.
Designed for Everyday Durability
The AQUOS wish5s builds on the AQUOS wish5, the first smartphone series to feature a vibration-activated SOS security function, alongside an AI-powered call assistant and U.S. military-grade toughness. It also features a 120Hz display, durable waterproof performance and a casing made from approximately 60% recycled plastic, offering a balance of usability, durability and environmental consideration.
Built for durability, the AQUOS wish5s supports IPX91 waterproof performance, capable of withstanding high temperatures of up to 80C and high-pressure water exposure. It also complies with U.S. Department of Defense procurement standards, MIL-STD-810H, for waterproof, dustproof and shock-resistant performance, including resistance to drops on concrete2, making it suitable for daily use and outdoor environments.
The vibration-activated SOS security alert triggers a loud alarm and automatically contacts pre-registered contacts with location information when the device is shaken, even when stored in a bag. In addition, the AI-powered call assistant helps detect and block suspicious calls, providing added peace of mind.
The device is equipped with an approximately 6.6-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering a fluid viewing experience. Paired with a large 5,000mAh battery, it supports extended streaming, browsing and gaming throughout the day. The Intelligent Charge function helps preserve long-term battery health by optimising charging behaviour. It features up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It also supports microSD cards of up to 2TB, ensuring a smooth and reliable user experience.
Availability
From 17 April 2026, the AQUOS wish5s will be available exclusively via SHARP Singapore’s online channels, including sharp.com.sg, SHARP Lazada and SHARP Shopee, at a recommended retail price RRP of S399.
