Huawei has recently launched the Huawei Mate 70 series of flagship phones in China. It is speculated that the brand will announce the Pura 80 series of smartphones in the first half of 2025. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared details about what appears to be the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra’s cameras.

According to the leak, the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra prototype currently features a 50-megapixel one-inch variable aperture main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 1/1.3-inch ultra-large bottom multi-focal length periscope lens. As it is not the final version and still in the technical testing stage, meaning the mass production model could see changes.
For reference, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra features a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel one-inch ultra-light gathering retractable lens, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, all supporting autofocus.
As per previous reports, the P80 Ultra is expected to feature a massive 6.8-inch curved-edge display. Under the hood, it may feature the Kirin 9020 SoC, which powers the Mate 70 lineup. The details about the other P80-series models are under wraps. As far as launch is concerned, DCS previously claimed that it will debut in the second quarter of 2025.
