Oppo is set to launch the Oppo Find N5 foldable phone and the Oppo Watch X2 smartwatch in February in China. In March, the company will reportedly unveil the Oppo Find X8 Ultra alongside the Oppo Find X8 Mini. While Oppo is expected to share more details about the X8 series after the February launch, Oppo Find Product Manager Zhou Yibao has already disclosed some key information about the telephoto camera on the Find X8 Ultra.
Oppo Find X8 Ultra camera setup: What to expect
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is anticipated to feature a top-tier camera setup. In the above screenshot, a Weibo user has asked whether the Find X8 Ultra will feature a physical telephoto macro lens. In response, Zhou Yibao, confirms that it will indeed include this feature. This addition is expected to elevate the overall camera performance, which will likely include a combination of several advanced sensors.
As pe reports, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra’s camera setup is expected to include a Sony LYT-900 50-megapixel (one-inch sensor) main camera with OIS support. It is likely to be accompanied by a 50-megapixel IMX882 ultra-wide lens, an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel LYT-701 3x periscope zoom lens with 75mm focal length, and a 50-megapixel IMX882 periscope zoom lens with 6x optical zoom, 150mm focal length, and OIS support.
It is likely that the LYT-701 lens may arrive with telephoto macro capabilities. Additionally, there are rumors that the Oppo Find X8 Ultra will come with a physical shutter button to improve the photography experience.
The Find X8 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform and will come equipped with a 2K OLED flat display. The battery is expected to be a 6000mAh unit, offering fast wired and wireless charging capabilities.
