OnePlus 15 design details tipped well before launch

Several smartphone brands in China are expected to unveil their flagship phones in the last quarter of this year. OnePlus is also expected to hold a launch event in October to unveil the OnePlus 15 and the Ace 6. A new leak by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station focuses on the design changes that will be seen on the OnePlus 15.

According to the tipster, the design of the upcoming OnePlus 15 will deviate from the large circular camera module seen on previous models. He claimed that the engineering prototypes he has accessed feature a small square-shaped camera matrix positioned in the top-left corner. This indicates that the camera module could be similar to the OnePlus 13T / 13S.

Despite housing a 50-megapixel triple-camera setup with a periscope lens and a large sensor, the device reportedly maintains good control over its overall thickness and weight. The front will feature a 1.5K flat display with large rounded corners, and it will incorporate LIPO technology to achieve slimmer bezels.

Powering the OnePlus 15 will be a large-capacity battery paired with 100W fast charging, with the model number starting with “7.” This indicates that the OP15 may pack a 7,000mAh+ battery. While he has not mentioned it in the leak, it seems that the device will continue to feature 50W wireless charging support. Under the hood, the device is expected to feature the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.

Reports surrounding the OnePlus Ace 6 suggest that it will feature a 165Hz OLED panel, as it will be a performance-focused offering. It remains to be seen whether it will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
