OnePlus 15 tipped to feature triple 50MP cameras

OnePlus is all set to unveil the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing and OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra in the coming week in China. After the Ace 5 series, the company is expected to shift its focus to the OnePlus 15, which is expected to debut by October in China. Well ahead of the launch, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has shed light on the camera configurations of the OnePlus 15.

OnePlus 15 camera details leaked

OnePlus 15 camera specs leak by DCS

According to the leak, OnePlus is experimenting with a camera system consisting of three 50-megapixel sensors – a main camera, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a telephoto periscope camera offering approximately 3x optical zoom. These sensors are not yet finalized, as OnePlus is said to be comparing different sensor sizes in the A/B testing phase.

The main camera is being tested with both a standard large sensor and a significantly larger sensor, likely to enhance low-light and depth capabilities. Similarly, the telephoto camera is tested with two sensor sizes — small and medium — to determine the optimal balance between image quality and internal hardware space.

Other reports from the same source indicate that the OnePlus 15 could shift to a 6.78-inch flat LTPO display with 1.5K resolution, departing from the curved 2K panels seen in recent models. The device might also adopt a more squared design reminiscent of the iPhone, while being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.

Rumors also suggest that the OnePlus 15 will pack a 6,500mAh+ battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, although these details remain speculative until official confirmation. While the Chinese launch is expected in October, it may hit the global market by January 2026.
