Vivo is expected to launch the Vivo X300 series in October this year. Ahead of the launch, the brand has gradually started revealing details about the X300 series. Yesterday, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao released an official confirmation about the Vivo X300’s primary camera. Today, he released a new Weibo post to confirm the periscope camera of the X300 Pro.
Vivo X300 Pro’s periscope telephoto camera details confirmed

Boxiao revealed that the Vivo X300 Pro will be equipped with a highly customized 200-megapixel Zeiss APO super telephoto lens with an 85mm focal length. He explained that this is Vivo’s fourth-generation 200-megapixel telephoto, building on advancements from the X100 Ultra, X200 Pro, and X200 Ultra, and now refined further on the X300 Pro. He explained that while the X300 Pro may not challenge the X200 Ultra in every respect, the new telephoto module allows the X300 Pro to claim the title of the “new telephoto king.”
Boxiao highlighted that the lens delivers four core improvements: industry-leading stability with CIPA 5.5-level anti-shake certification, faster focus tracking developed in collaboration with platform partners for capturing fast-moving subjects at long distances, clearer long-range images with Vivo’s Blueprint algorithm reducing reliance on AI processing, and purer results thanks to Zeiss T* coating, APO certification, and fluorite glass for reduced reflections and colour fringing.
As far as the Vivo X300 Pro’s other cameras are concerned, a recent Weibo post by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that it will feature a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 primary camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. He also revealed that the device will be equipped with Vivo’s self-developed image processing chips, such as V3 and VS1.
The Vivo X300 Ultra, which is expected to launch in Q2 2026, may also feature the same periscope telephoto camera.
