iQOO 15 pre-orders begin, design teased officially

iQOO is preparing to launch its next-generation flagship smartphone in China. Ahead of its official debut, the company has opened pre-orders and revealed teaser posters showcasing the design of the iQOO 15. These early glimpses confirm a refreshed look with a focus on both aesthetics and performance.

The iQOO 15 teaser shows a large circular camera island positioned at the upper-left corner of the rear panel. The design resembles a floating spaceship effect on the glass back, and the camera ring is surrounded by RGB lights that illuminate under certain conditions. Reports also suggest the phone will feature a colour-changing back panel that shifts shades depending on the viewing angle.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the iQOO 15 will come with a flat display, a right-angled metal frame, and chiselled edges. Camera upgrades include a 50-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto lens, which accounts for the slightly thicker camera housing. Alongside this, the handset is expected to feature a triple 50-megapixel setup at the rear and a single button layout on the right side of the frame.

On the front, the device will sport a 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED LTPO display, supporting ultra-narrow bezels and AR anti-reflection coating. The screen will deliver brightness between 1 nit and 6,000 nits and feature Pol-less depolarisation technology for reduced power consumption.

The device has also been spotted on Geekbench running Android 16 with 12GB RAM, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Other highlights include the Q3 gaming chip, a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and wireless charging, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and an 8K VC cooling unit.

iQOO 15 launch timeframe (rumored)

The iQOO 15 is tentatively scheduled to launch on October 20 in China, shortly after the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 announcement. Given the company’s past strategy, it is likely that the handset could reach global markets, including India, soon after its domestic debut.
