In a new Weibo post, DCS mentioned the camera specifications of the upcoming iQOO flagships that will feature the SM8850 chip. It is speculated that this model number belongs to the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, which is expected to launch through the 2025 Snapdragon Summit event in September this year.
The leak reveals that the iQOO 15 and 15 Ultra will feature three 50-megapixel cameras on their back. This setup will comprise a primary camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a 3x periscope camera equipped with a medium-sized sensor.
As per reports, the iQOO 15 and 15 Ultra will feature the same 6.85-inch flat AMOLED display by Samsung. The 2K LTPO panel is said to feature very thin bezels on all four sides. Both phones are said to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.
The 15 Ultra is also said to pack a 7,000mAh+ battery with 100W charging support. While the standard model is also expected to pack a big battery, its exact size is yet to be revealed.
The iQOO 15 Ultra is expected to differentiate itself from the standard edition by offering features like an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, wireless charging support, gaming shoulder triggers, and an active cooling fan. It is likely that the Ultra edition may remain exclusive to the Chinese market, whereas the iQOO 15 may release globally.
