Vivo is expected to unveil the Vivo S50 series of smartphones in November in China. Recent reports have suggested that the S50 Pro Mini will be equipped with a Dimensity 9-series chip. However, a new leak by well-known tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that this device will feature an upcoming Snapdragon 8-series chip instead. Here is all the information about the upcoming S50 Pro Mini.
Vivo S50 Pro Mini key specifications tipped

As can be seen above, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini will continue to be a compact offering like its previous generation, as it is tipped to feature a 6.3-inch screen. Previous leaks have claimed that it will have a flat display with support for 1.5K resolution.
Earlier reports suggested that the Vivo S50 Pro Mini would feature the Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset. However, the new leak reveals that it will come powered by the forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. For those who don’t know, this chipset is expected to debut first on the OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo, a performance-focused flagship phone.

The tipster further claimed that the Vivo S50 Pro Mini’s battery will be larger than that of the Vivo X300, which houses a 6,040mAh unit. Like its predecessor, the S50 Pro Mini is expected to feature a periscope telephoto camera as part of its rear camera setup.
To recall, the Vivo X200 FE available in global markets is a rebranded version of the China-exclusive Vivo S30 Pro Mini. Therefore, it is likely that the S50 Pro Mini could be rebadged as the X300 FE for global markets. Since the X200 FE launched only a couple of months ago, its successor may make its debut in Q2 next year.
