According to the tipster, the Redmi K90 Ultra is tentatively scheduled to be unveiled in April this year in China. The tipster did not share any new information about the specifications of the device. However, DCS’ Weibo post reveals that it will be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chip.
According to previous reports, the Redmi K90 Ultra will feature a massive 6.8-inch OLED screen offering a 1.5K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. It is likely to run on HyperOS 3.1-based Android 16.
Under the hood, the Dimensity 9500 chip will be accompanied by a massive 8,500mAh battery with 100W charging support. A major highlight of the phone is that it will include a built-in cooling fan.
In related news, Redmi is also said to be working on a flagship phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. This phone is likely to be called the Redmi K90 Pro when it hits the market. It may break cover alongside the K90 Ultra in April.
Early reports suggest that the K90 Pro will feature a 6.6-inch OLED display and an 8,000mAh battery. It is also expected to arrive with a built-in cooling fan, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, symmetrical dual speakers, and a water-resistant body. At present, there is no clarity on whether these devices will be released in markets outside of China. However, a tweaked version of the K90 Ultra may hit the global market with improved cameras under the Xiaomi 17T Pro branding.
