Back in November 2025, Oppo unveiled the Oppo Reno 15 series in China, and by February, it arrived in global markets. Now, the brand has started teasing the Oppo Reno 16 series in China. Its pre-orders have gone live, and the lineup is scheduled to go official in May in the home market.

The poster released by Oppo only confirms the May launch timeframe for the Reno 16 series and does not reveal any major details. The lineup is likely to arrive in global markets around June or July.
Recent reports have revealed that the Oppo Reno 16 will be a compact model equipped with a 6.32-inch display. It is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 8500 chipset.
On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 16 Pro will be a larger offering equipped with a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED screen. It is expected to support a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is said to feature the Dimensity 9500s chipset along with a massive 7,000mAh battery.
The Reno 16 Pro is expected to arrive with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The series is also expected to run on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.
For photography, the Reno 16 Pro is tipped to feature a 50-megapixel front camera. Its rear camera setup may include a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
